Quick Cheese Cookies


3 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup butter
1 cup shredded Cheese
1 whole egg,beaten slightly
1 cup of milk
1. Preheat oven to 400 F. degrees. 2. Place flour in a
large bowl. Stir in butter. Add cheese and egg. Gradually add enough
milk to form a dough. Knead dough and roll out to about 1 inch thick. 3.
Use dog bone cookie cutter to cut out dough. Place on greased cookie
sheet. Bake about 12 minutes, until they start to brown. Cool and serve

Doggie Biscuits


1 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 cup nonfat dry milk powder

1/2 cup oatmeal-quick cooking

1/2 cup yellow cornmeal

1 tsp sugar


Cut in 1/3 cup shortening until mix is coarse crumbs. Stir in 1 egg. Dissolve 1 tbsp instant chicken or beef boullion granules in 1/2 cup water.Stir liquid into flour mix with fork. Form dough into a ball & knead on floured board for 5 minutes. Divide ball in half and roll each portion until 1/2 inch thick. Use a cookie cutter or shape biscuits. Put 6 on a plate and microwave at medium for 5 or 10 minutes or until firm and dry to touch. Turn biscuits over after 1/2 cooking time.

Homemade Birthday Cake Mix


2 cups water
1/4 cup mashed banana
1/8 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 tbs honey
3 cups whole-wheat flour
1 cup dried bananas
1/2 tbs baking powder

frosting:
8 oz. low-fat cream cheese
3 tbs. carob powder
1 tsp vanilla

- preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- in a bowl, mix together water, bananas, vanilla, egg and honey.
in a separate bown, combine flour, dried bananas and baking powder. mix thoroughly.
- add wet ingredients to dry and mix well.
- pour into an 8-inch greased cake pan and and bake for 45 mins or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
to make the frosting, beat all ingredients together in a small bowl until smooth.
- spread over the cake and decorate it w/ pieces of crushed dried banana. store in an airtight container.

Summer Treat For Hot Days

Homemade Frosty Paws-
32 oz.yogurt (plain or vanilla)
1 mashed banana
2 tbs. peanut butter
2 tbs. honey
Blend ingredients together & pour into 3 oz. dixie cups,ice cube trays or a kong.

Apple Cinnamon Delights

Home baked treats for your dog


1 large apple
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1-1/2cup wheat flour
1/8 cup whole wheat flour
Directions: Preheat oven to 350

Core,slice,mince apple. In a large bowl,combine the minced apple,honey,water,cinnamon and oatmeal. Gradually blend in the wheat flour,adding enough to form a stiff dough.
In a small bowl add 1/8 cup wheat flour.spoon the dough by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets spacing about 2 inches apart.Using the bottom of a glass dipped in wheat flour flatten each spoonful of dough into a circle.
Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and flip each cookie to brown evenly on both sides. Reduce oven temperature to 325. Return to oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes. Let cool overnight.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies depending on cookie size.

Go! Natural by Petcurean has a chicken,fruit and vegetables blend kibble that seems to be just what my secretary aka my mom was looking for! it contains,chicken, whole potatoes,apples,carrots and cranberries along with vitamins and minerals although it is a bit more expensive it is definately worth the money. It was also rated five stars on the pet food analysis web site and no it is not on the recall list! whew! it offers a fantastic food for dogs with allergies called wild salmon and oatmeal,a grain free formula,wet varieties and their breakaway health bar. A food worth checking out!
